About Me

I'm a Navy wife who is still learning to adjust to this lifestyle. I'm a stay at home mom to a toddler and an infant and spend a large part of my day entertaining my kids and cleaning up after them. I was an elementary school teacher in a previous life and still hold a valid teaching certificate. Lately though I find myself wrapped up in a world of AWESOME homeschooling blogs with the most amazing ideas for early childhood learning activities (and elementary). I hope to be blogging about a few of my own as well!

We're currently stationed in central California with an upcoming move to New England sometime around the spring of 2012, with another move 6 months after that to Virginia.  Moving is pretty stressful and can be frustrating but there is something fun about it as well!  The move to VA will be nice since we'll only be about 3.5 hours away from the rest of the majority of our family since they all live in Maryland.  We also have family in the New England area so we'll get at least 6 months to live close to them as well.  Even VA is much closer to the New England area than CA is though!  We've been lucky enough to have a few visits from family while we've been out here but our kids mostly interact with the extended family through Skype and have Aunts, Uncles, and cousins they've never even met in person.  

Needless to say we're looking forward to being closer to family for a bit!
